Breckenridge, Colorado
Breckenridge offers exciting times during the winter or summer. It was
once a gold mining town. Now it's become a modern world class resort
town for year around fun. It has a mile-long main street lined with
stores, malls, restaurants, historic sites, and night time entertainment.
There's
a river walk with summer concerts. There's also a complete recreation
facility with swimming pools. The mountain scenery is stunning in the winter
and summer.
Breckenridge is in world famous Summit County, which offers sports,
entertainment and shopping choices galore, not to mention golf courses
(there's a Jack Nicklaus golf course too).
Breckenridge is known the world over for it's skiing. Or drive to another
Colorado mountain everyday if you want variety! Here are the travel
times to other world class resorts from Breckenridge:
Vail - 45 minutes
Keystone - 30 minutes
Copper Mountain - 25 minutes
Winter park - 90 minutes
Steamboat Springs - 2 hours
Aspen - 3 hours

Powder Ridge is nicely located in town: it's only a short 3-1/2 block
walk to exciting main street. 2 blocks to the grocery store or post office. It
adjoins the city park with play grounds, tennis courts, volleyball,
sledding hill, reserveable shelter for family reunions, and so on.
In the winter the ski buses stop at our unit (one stop is in front of the adjoining Atrium, another across the street from us) every 20 minutes at scheduled times. They take you directly to the ski lift on either peak 8 or peak 9, or into town.
Breckenridge has a town trolley that runs year around. It also
has bus stops for the summit county buses which will take you to other
ski
resorts in the county and nearby towns at no charge.
